Scott is a dedicated Senior Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager specializing in comprehensive financial planning and investment management. Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics from Queen’s University in 1984, and holds the Canadian Securities Institutes highest honour – the prestigious Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designation. In addition, he is a Fellow of The Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB), a Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Scott began his professional career in 1984 when he joined the Treasury Department of the Royal Bank of Canada. After two successful years working in Vancouver as a Corporate Service Officer, Scott was transferred to Toronto where he spent five years as a professional currency, money market, and precious metals trader. After a brief return to Vancouver, Scott moved to Hong Kong (1992) and later Singapore (1996) where he spent a combined seven years as Senior Manager, Institutional Fixed Income Sales for RBC Dominion Securities. In 2002, Scott returned to Vancouver to pursue his goal of establishing his own advisory practice under the umbrella of Canada’s leading wealth management firm.
